Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship 2008

Entry is now open to Australian artists aged between 20 and 30 . The Scholarship comprises an amount of $25000 and a three-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. The residency is for a continuous period of three months from July to September 2009 and the scholarship money must be used to further your art education in Europe for a period of at least six months, three months of which must be used in conjunction with the residency. The Scholarship is administered by the Art Gallery of New South Wales and is a fantastic opportunity to expand your horizons.

If you think opportunities like this are out of your reach, think again! Last year the Scholarsip was won by NAS student Nathan Hawkes for his work Icebergs, so visit the website for full details and to download your application form. A copy of the form is also available in the Library on the Art Competition noticeboard. Closing date for applications is 11 July 2008. Good luck!
