Aboriginal Arts Centre Internship Program 2010

The National Art School is now accepting applications for the newly developed Aboriginal Art Centre Internship program. This program is generously sponsored by Mark Tedeschi QC. The program aims to provide graduating students with an opportunity to acquire practical arts management experience and training in an active Aboriginal community art centre environment. In 2010 internships will be offered with Ikuntji Artists located near Haasts Bluff NT and Tapatjatjaka Arts located at Titjikala NT.

Recipients will be provided with transport to and from the art centre, accommodation, and stipend for the ten week period of the internship. Successful applicants are expected to take up the internship in 2010.

Eligibility
Undergraduate: Students at the conclusion of final year in either the Bachelor of Fine Arts / Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours are eligible for internships in 2010.
Postgraduate: MFA candidates may make application at any time during their candidature (successful MFA candidates will be granted study leave in order to take up the internship).

Application forms are now available from NAS Student Services.

Closing date: Please lodge applications with NAS Student Services by Friday 27th November 2009.
