NAS & Uni of Newcastle Joint Exhibition

National Art School and the University of Newcastle are coming together for a joint exhibition of student work at Watt Space.

**Expressions of interest Due: Monday 26th July**
**Exhibition Date: 11th – 29th August**

Watt Space is a contemporary art space in the CBD area of Newcastle that exhibits the work of current students of the University of Newcastle. The role of the gallery is to provide students with diverse opportunities in exhibiting, curating and gallery management. Watt Space was established in 1989 and is funded by the UoN Services Limited and the School of Drama, Fine Art and Music.

Art students are invited to apply for involvement in a collaborative exhibition with the objective of bringing together the work of the National Art School and the University of Newcastle. While only being two hours from each other they embody two very different approaches to the creation and teaching of art. Our aim is to show off the strengths of each school.

The curators are distributing a call for artists from both institutes, preferably Honours or Third Year students, though others will be considered, to submit a work for this show. Due to size restrictions in the gallery space, only one or two artists working in each discipline from each school will be selected to be shown.

Expressions of Interest from the NAS will be collated by Honours Student Todd Fuller before a NAS panel of staff and students will short list works for exhibition. This short List will then be discussed with Watt Space Gallery Representatives before final selection.

After Final selection a small meeting will be held with the selected artists to discuss and arrange logistics of the exhibition.

Expressions of interest Due: Monday 26th July
Exhibition Date: 11th – 29th August

Application forms are available from the Library desk.
